In August 2005, LCCC became a 501 © (3) non-profit organization and began to transition in being its own fiscal agent for all funding sources and is still in the process. Leon County Community Coalition plans to continue to seek funding to strengthen and bring sustainability to coalition.

"The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing." - Albert Einstein
We are not under the illusion that we can successfully eliminate all the drugs in Leon County. The primary task of the coalition is to empower local citizens to have a sense of power over the circumstances that often seem to control the community and to realize that together they can have a significant impact to reduce drug use in Leon County.
We will be taking a comprehensive approach including youth, parents, faith-based organizations and schools along with the existing program base of Leon County Community Coalition.
